It all depends on make and style of the hoisery,i don't suffer from what many ppl here do,that is being tight on the nose as i have had a lot of practice over the years.I do get pressure on the forehead after a while,but some makes of hoisery are worse than others,as to the amount of layers i go up to it all depends on the look i want.
8 is the max normal,11 with 3 layers being condoms when i did breath play but up to 6 is the usual amount 2 being part of the encasement with 4 being added later either stockings or knee high.

Just to add an extra diamension to this thread,when i layer my head i must have it pulled right to the toe,how many others do the same.

By pinching the layer just below the nostrils and pulling it out a touch allows the nose to spring back into shape thus relieving a certain amount of pressure.

As tannoys rightly stated, it does depend upon the make and style of hose. The most comfortable hose I used for head coverage was wolford 'logic' ... since the knit pattern stretches in all directions and so can be pinched and pulled around the face to minimize facial distortion.
Having said that, a heavily made up face distorted by hose can look outrageously sexy too ... especially when the lipstick has smudged a bit!

I too, on countless occasions, have pulled pantyhose over my head until the reinforced toe area has spread over the crown. It does look complete and feels erotically tight.

find a stretchy pair with elastine in it and layer that 3 to 4 time and then 3 to4 pairs of fishnets and an opaque pair for that tightness and cover... wonderful sheer head encasement. jacintaphose

I have only tried one pair so far but I think I will try a few on my girlfriends face this week. I will keep you posted as to how we get on.

for anyone who wears alot of layers over the head & it gets tight on the nose, I use larger size, thinner pairs, basic type & if needed cut air holes in the first pair or two. then tie the stocking to my wife's.

I love being encased in pantyhose. I can handle about two or three pairs over the head before it feels uncomfortable. Have worn up a dozen pairs on the whole body. 4-5 on the legs, 4-5 on the upper body and the rest on the head. I have also done 4-5 pairs all over and then for the final layer added a spandex sack with attached hood.
