I've been meaning to do a few sewing projects with pantyhose for a long time but I never get around to it. But a friend of mine said she would like to check it out with me. So we're going to buy some new pantyhose and try sewing gloves or shirts or even full body suits. I'm wondering what kind of thread I will need and what kind of machine pattern would be best. I understand that you want to stretch the material out fully while sewing it, and for gloves you can take a traced cardboard pattern. I know its all trial and error practice but I just want to be on the right path so I don't completely waste a fresh pair of nylon. Thanks!

i sew my pantyhsoe encasement suits myself

normal thread samecolour as your pantyhose
but many stitsches against each other

take a look at the seems of the crothch on yor own pantyhose and you will see what i mean

Yeah that makes sense, thanks a lot! I'll have to try it out on some cheap pantyhose under 5 bucks.

Unfortunately my friend won't be joining me this weekend and she's from out of town... It was going to be a halloween costume idea! Oh well it doesn't have to be enjoyed on halloween only but it would've been a great idea.

She wanted to be just completely black like a shadow person and even wear to high school haha!

I also might attempt to sew a back entry or crotch entry zipper as well as fingers and toes. The store I work at is having a sale on all hosiery so its my chance to stock up!

We've really been wanting to start sewing suits for the punx as well.

I like that the couple on ebay also sews snaps into the waist joining area as well.
